Aon Glide MAX – LG Battery Mobility Scooter

Hello, I am not new to e scooter riding.
I have owned over 50 electric scooters. Never kept more then 2 at a time tho, just buy sell and trade a lot.
So I am not a rookie, I speak from experience here.

I will start off by saying, I was very impressed when I saw the specs and features if this scooter.
I have been looking at tons of scooters before choosing this one.
Needed a lightweight one for a short commute, wanted decent speed and range performance.

Right away, I noticed this one is pretty similar to the popular, Etwow Sport scooter, and Fluid Mosquito. So thos review I would just like to compare a lot of its specs and performance with that.

I will start from top to bottom like I usually do. So right away you have these locking grips. Very soft, maybe a bit too soft in my opinion. But I like these better then etwow. You can change them out if you want and etwow you couldn't. The NCF card reader is a nice touch. Of course you should always use a lock when leaving your scooter outside while you do errands, it's nice to know that people cant turn on your scooter and mess with it that way. You also get a break lever and cruise control button on the left side.
Breaking is actually top notch 👌 I loved using it. It is dialed in perfect, you can tell not only is it a drum break for easy maintenance, but it also uses electricity, which makes it smoother and more efficient. Im happy with that.
I've never seen a botton specific for cruise control on a scooter actually.
It works well here. Just go the speed you want, push the button, then you won't have to hold down on the throttle anymore. Press the break or the throttle once, then the scooter exits the cruise control. Love it.
On the right you have the throttle, button cluster, and display, all in once kinda unit.
I like this design, saves space on the handlebars. Thumb throttles are my favorite kind of throttle. I've had nicer ones before, but thos one Id say is decent. The display is small, but you can clearly see everything so it justifies the size.
I do like this style more then the etwow center display with buttons in the middle.
Since the buttons were in the middle, made it harder to push one on the go. The display was pretty dim. And also on the etwow, you had to manually go into the settings to change speed.
This Aon scooter, got can change it with a simple button push, on the go.
I love the longer then etwow, folding handlebars. Haven't tried them too much to see if there would be a lot of play, but right not there isn't, and I do know how to fix it if there was any. Loosen the inside screw to make the bar tighter, tighten rhe screw to make it looser.
Make it just right, the bars should go on without any play.

Okay now moving onto the stem. It may be plastic and a bit cheap feeling, but it does keep the weight down which is good for me. I appreciate the light bar and regular light combo. Better then etwow for sure.
One thing I really dont like tho is the cabling sticking out. Having it on the top is one thing, kinda used to that. But at the bottom too?
I dont like all that exposure. Looks unclean.

Now onto the deck. Right away, deck is very spacious for a small scooter! Feels even longer then the Fluid Mosquito. Wheels are solid, I like not getting flats, but it definitely does affect the ride quality. Especially since this scooter has very little suspension.
Etwow has front and rear shock suspension which I absolutely loved, felt super plush.
But with this Aon Glide Max scooter, you just get the front suspension, which isn't even as plush. I am only a 138lbs rider, so maybe it's better for heavier riders, but... very stiff for me.
You have a front motor, 600W. I like the power it offers. Hit 25mph no problem and maybe a little over.
Has a 13.5AH battery, which is better then Etwow! Finally a lightweight scooter with that extra bit of range. 👏

So overall I have two complaints about this scooter. The extra exposed wiring, and the suspension.
Aon, if you are reading this, you can change this. Have the wires at the bottom hidden inside the scooter if you can. A lot of people like a cleaner look. Also the suspension, could add some rear suspension to even out things.

But overall, I love the scooter, very practical, more then Etwow. Priced very well for what I got, I appreciate the bag, phone mount, and tool it came with.
Also service was pretty attentive, you can tell they generally want people to have a nice ride.
You dont get that at all with some companies.

Firstly, I was happy with the unboxing. The package material was very protective. After removal of the scooter , it was very easy to unfold and prompt startup. I then read the manual for further instructions such as how to set the P -setting for maximum speed. After this I charged the scooter completely. The charge brick is 3 amp and has good weight to it. It’s not a cheap generic charger. During charging, I adjusted the controls on the handle bars to my liking. I also added a mirror to the left side along with a handle grip that has an open end for me to do this. I added the front small bag that was supplied along with the phone mount. Everything was of good quality and excellent fit and finish. I took the scooter for a 15 mile ride and was pleasantly impressed with the amount of space on the foot deck. Even though there is no rear foot plate, there’s enough room for proper bracing. I feel a little cramped on my E-TWOW GT Sport compared to this AON scooter. The refinement is a nice upgrade from my E-TWOW, yet it very nearly gives me the same acceleration and top speed. The braking is nice too. When the brakes are applied, the rear drum brake and electric front regeneration brake work nicely together. It brakes relatively smooth in my opinion , and better than my E-TWOW. Even though there is no rear suspension, I feel that the larger profile rear tire absorbs bumps nicely. The front suspension is okay. For my weight of 200 lbs, I feel that it needs more spring travel. If I lean too much forward over a bump, it can bottom out gently. It’s not a problem though. I can move my center of gravity further back.
Lights are great for this type of scooter. E-TWOW headlight is awful, and this is well lite up. The rear brake light could be a little brighter, but it’s still visible and will start blinking after it’s been engaged. There is also a bell built into the brake handle. It sounds good. The cruise control is very easy to use unlike other scooters and e-bikes. To disengage the cruise function you must press the cruise control button again or tap your brake. I’ve only ridden it once so far, so take this impression for what it’s worth. I think the scooter is a very good value. Customer service has been very attentive too. I recommend 👍🏼👍🏼

The scooter is awesome, but what really blew me away was the after-sales support. They treated me like a VIP, fixed my issue right away, and made the whole process stress-free. Best shopping experience I’ve had in a long time!

This is my second scooter, highly recommend!

Awesome! I really love the extended footboard and the handlebar design—it makes riding super comfy. The footboard is long enough for my feet to rest freely, and I don't feel cramped at all. It's just so relaxing to ride.
